Terms of use.

The service and delivery

phras.ai provides online writing analysis and AI-assisted editing. These terms apply to phras.ai, not automatically to other Driftmoth products. Access is delivered through your account; there is no physical shipment. Free access begins after registration. Paid credits become available when payment is confirmed, normally within a few minutes. Contact support if a confirmed payment has not appeared in your balance.

Model-generated revisions can contain errors. You must review facts, references and suitability before using the output. Quality signals are heuristics and do not prove authorship, originality or accuracy. No result is guaranteed to pass an AI detector or satisfy a school, journal, client or regulator.

Your writing and account

You retain rights you hold in your input and output. You authorize the processing needed to provide your requested edit, including sending editable prose to the API providers described in our Privacy notice. Only submit material you are authorized to process. Keep your credentials private and follow applicable law, professional obligations, institutional rules and AI disclosure requirements. You must have legal capacity or the authority necessary to enter this agreement.

Do not use the service for unlawful content or conduct, infringement of others’ rights, fraudulent impersonation, abuse of access controls, or interference with the service. We may restrict access to address misuse or a security threat. Any mandatory consumer rights remain available.

Subscriptions, prices and cancellation

Paid plans renew monthly until canceled. The applicable price, currency, allowance, billing frequency and any tax are shown before payment. Starting a free account or redeeming a promotional voucher does not authorize a charge.

Cancel future renewals in Account & billing → Manage billing before the next renewal, or contact support if you cannot access the portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. It does not itself refund an earlier payment. Purchased credits remain usable, with paid editing access, after cancellation; no new monthly allowance is added after the subscription ends. Word accounting

We reserve input words when an edit starts and reconcile them against successfully rewritten prose. Words for protected or unsuccessful sections return to your balance. Retries within the same edit do not incur a separate word charge. These automatic word-credit adjustments are separate from cash-refund requests.

Promotional vouchers

A voucher may add word credits and temporary advanced access, subject to the stated grant, redeem-by date and total usage cap. Each account can redeem a particular code once. Access starts on redemption and ends at the date displayed in your account. A new grant keeps the later of the existing expiry and the new grant’s expiry rather than adding both durations. Unused promotional words remain usable in Polish after advanced access ends.

Current promotional vouchers are not sold, have no cash-redemption value and do not start a subscription. Do not resell them. Share an unused code only with its intended recipient; the stated total redemption cap still applies. Revoking an unused code prevents future claims without retracting already redeemed grants.

Consumer rights and disputes

Our 14-day first-payment refund policy is additional to legal remedies. Nothing in these terms removes non-excludable cancellation, refund, service-conformity or other consumer rights under applicable law. If you are entitled to withdraw from a distance contract, you can notify us with a clear statement; you do not need to use particular wording. We do not treat starting an edit as a blanket waiver of those rights.

Contact support first so we can investigate billing or service problems. This does not prevent you from contacting your payment provider, a regulator or a court where you are legally entitled to do so.

Service changes and privacy

Features may change as the service develops. We will give appropriate notice of material contractual or subscription changes and will not apply a price increase retroactively to an already paid period. Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy notice.
